Benito Castillo, 79

Mr. Castillo was born in Bastrop, Texas, on July 11, 1924. He was a World War I I and Korean War Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents Federico and Maria Castillo of Austin, Texas, and two brothers, the youngest Ramon Castillo who passed at an early age in Colorado City, Texas, and Roman Castillo who was listed as Missing in Action during World War I I in the Battle of the Bulge on January 10, 1945.

Mr. Castillo loved and raised seven children in Wheeler County, Texas where he farmed. Mr. Castillo worked for the City of Shamrock before retiring from E W Larkey of Canadian, Texas. After retirement Mr. Castillo enjoyed life by taking care of his family and neighbors.

Mr. Castillo is survived by his wife of 56 years Estefana Castillo of Shamrock, Texas, three sons Roman of Espanola, NM, Francisco of Larkspur, Co and Ramon of Canadian, TX. Adela Douthit and April Childs both of Amarillo, TX, 17 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, two brothers Madeleno Castillo of Houston, TX and Willie Castillo of Austin, TX; five sisters, Serna and Rosa Maria Zavala of Austin, TX, Lula Castro of Abilene, TX, Rosa Rodriguez of Cleveland, TX and Mary Gomez of Natalia, TX and many friends...His memory lives on ....
