Miguel Rivera Barriga Sr., of Crane, was
born on September 29,1942 in Presidio,
Texas, to Ascension and Gregoria Barriga.
Miguel departed this life Friday, Febuary
23,2007, at Permian Regional Medical
Center in Andrews at the age of 64.
Miguel was preceded in death by his
parents, Ascencion and Gregoria Barriga
a brother: Ascension Barriga Jr., and
sisters: Elva Sanchez and Elidia Galindo.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years.Nina
Barriga of Crane, sons: Miguel "Michael"
Barriga, Jr.,and his wife, Dolores of Odessa,
Carlos Barriga of Monahans, and Orlando
Barriga and Robert Lewis Barriga both
of Crane, daughter: Celina Barriga Rogers
and her husband Dre , brother: Raul Barriga
Sr. and his wife Senaida of Presidio' sisters:
Emma Lopez of Chandler, Ariz., Lucia Renteria
of Presidio, Sylvia Holguin and her husband
Manuel of Odessa; and Nelda Hernandez and
her husband Samuel of Odessa and 8grand-
children: Jazzman, AnDreya DeShawn,Carmelo,
Christopher, Colby, Cameron and Carlie, and
his family friends at National Foundry & MFG,
Inc., and numerous nieces and nephews.
He enjoyed selling articles at flea markets,
liked to kid around and always had a joke
that was enjoyed by all even of it didn't
make sense.
Pallbearers will be:\ his nephews: Ricky
Renteria, Sammy Hernandez, Louie
Holguin, Raul Barriga, Jr., Leroy Barriga,
Geronimo Hernandez, Antonio Sanchez
Jr., and Alfonzo Renteria Jr. Honorary
pallbearers will be: his family friends
of National Foundry & MFG, Inc.
Mass will be celebrated at 2p.m. Tuesday
February 27,2007, at the Good Shepherd
Catholic Church with Father Nilo Nalugon
officiating. Burial will follow in the Crane
County Cemetery. Services are entrusted
to Shaffer-NIchols Funeral Home.
