HEREFORD - J.B. "Uncle Hoppy" Blankenship, 68, died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1998.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Parkside Chapel. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, in West Park Cemetery.
Mr. Blankenship was born in Wister, Okla., and was a longtime resident of Hereford. He retired after 34 years in the sales department of McCaslin Lumber Co.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Blankenship of Amarillo and Michael Blankenship of Clovis, N.M.; a brother, Charles Blankenship of Amarillo; a sister, Opal Ledbetter of El Centro, Calif.; four grandchildren; and a special friend, Dee Sturges of Hereford.
The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.
