HEREFORD — Lorenzo Contreras, 43, of Hereford died Saturday, May 26, 2012, in Amarillo.
Celebration of life services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Hereford Heritage Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 411 E. Sixth St., with the Rev. Israel Olivo, pastor of Dimmitt Assembly of God, officiating. Burial will follow in West Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Hereford Heritage Funeral Home of Hereford.
Mr. Contreras was born Nov. 8, 1968, in Hereford to Elario "Larry" and Rosa
Leon Contreras. He liked to barbecue, play pool, watch sports of any kind and, most of all, help others who were in need.
Survivors include his parents; a son, Johnathan Perez of Amarillo; three brothers, George Contreras, Gilbert Contreras and Jaime Contreras, all of Hereford; two sisters, Mary Soto of Hereford and Erma Contreras of New Jersey; and his grandmother, Maria Leon of Hereford.
The family suggests memorials be to American Cancer Society Memorial Donations, 3915 Bell St., Amarillo, TX 79109; or a favorite charity.
