Servio T. Gamez, 55, of Amarillo died Tuesday, June 1, 2004.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Hereford Church of the Nazarene with Bennie Gonzales of New Wine Assembly of God officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery by Rix Funeral Directors.
Mr. Gamez was born Nov. 26, 1948, in Hereford. He grew up in Hereford and graduated from Hereford High School in 1968. He married Irma Gonzales on May 22, 1976, in Hereford. He had worked for C.R. Anthony Co. for 23 years, retiring and becoming a liquidation sales consultant. He moved to Albuquerque, N.M., in 1987 and to Amarillo in 1997.
Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Priscilla Romero, Jennifer Miera and Karissa Gamez, all of Albuquerque, and Valerie Esquibel of Plano; a son, Darrell Gamez of Dallas; four brothers, Ismael Gamez, James Gamez and Joaquin Gamez, all of Hereford, and Benjamin Gamez of Phoenix; two sisters, Noemi Aguirre of Brady and Connie Balderaz of Amarillo; and six grandchildren, Angelo, Austin, Anessa, Alijah, Audiana and Avery.
