*Obituary
HEREFORD - Pete Ortiz Jr., 68, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Hereford Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Ted Taylor, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery by Rix Funeral Directors.
Mr. Ortiz was born Nov. 5, 1941, in La Pryor to Pedro Sr. and Tomasa Garcia Ortiz. He married Guadalupe A. Ortiz on Jan. 1, 2000.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Monica Zamora, Criselda Castillo and Roxanne Munoz, all of Hereford; two sons, Michael Ortiz of Colorado and Edward Villarreal Jr. of Hereford; a brother, Alfredo Ortiz of Hereford; a sister, Esperansa Martinez of Hereford; 17 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to New Life Restoration Center, 1508 Whittier St., Hereford, TX 79045.
