Funeral Services Held Monday for Billington, Perry

Funeral services for Mr. Bobby James "Corky" Perry, 27, and Mr. Lyle Billington, 21, who were killed Friday in a two-car collision near Spearfish, S.D., were held Monday afternoon in the Kreig-Marcum Chapel.

Final rites for Mr. Perry were held at 2 p.m., with the Rev. V. Fields, pastor of the Grace Gospel Church of Hereford officiating.

Services for Mr. Billington were held at 4 p.m., with the Rev. Fields, assisted by Russell Ingalls, minister of the Central Church of Christ, officiating.

Burial for both men were in West Park Cemetery, under direction of Kreig-Marcum Funeral Home.

The two custom harvest hands were killed sometime Friday afternoon in the Black Hills of South Dakota, between Spearfish and Deadwood. The two occupants in the other car also were killed, according to reports.

The bodies of Mr. Perry and Mrs. Billington arrived by air in Hereford at 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

Mr. Billington attended Hereford public schools. He was born Sept. 15, 1936, in Altus, Okla., and had been a resident of Hereford since 1943. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. John T. Billington, live in Hereford.

Mr. Perry was born March 29, 1931, in Garvin County, Okla., and had lived in Hereford since ?. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Hiram W. Perry, 411 E. 2nd. He was married to Lou Donnell at Fort Sumner, N.M., Nov. 20, 1949.

Surviving Mr. Billington besides his parents are a son, David Donald of Portales, N.M.; six brothers, John C., Bob, Jack, Leroy, Buddy Louis, Floyd and Jimmy Ronald, all of Hereford; a sister, Mrs. Patsy Agnew of Hereford; a grandmother, Mrs. Eula Billington of Altus, Okla.; and a grandfather, Charlie Rogers of Elk City, Okla.

Surviving Mr. Perry besides his wife and parents are two sons, Bobby James Jr. and Clay Lee and a daughter, Vickie Lynn, all of Hereford; two brothers, Leon of Muleshoe and Eulee Perry of Hereford; two sisters, Patricia Perry of Hereford and Mrs. Helen Barrow of Amarillo; and grandmothers, Mrs. Anna Holman of Hereford and Mrs. Lula Cockrell o Canadian.
