Funeral services for Carl A. Rettman, 75, will be conducted at 4 p.m. today in the Assembly of God Church, of which he was a member. The Rev. Homer Goodwin, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be directed by Gilliland Funeral Home in West Park Cemetery.
Mr. Rettman, a farm owner and a veteran of World War I military service, died unexpectedly Tuesday in a Littlefield nursing home. He had resided here in the 100 block of South Ave. K. He came to Deaf Smith County in 1944 from Wichita County.
Born March 14, 1893, in Kansas, he married Gano May Staley in that state June 6, 1921. She preceded him in death in 1949.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Blue Turpin of Hereford, Mrs. Viola Glover of Littlefield and Mrs. Vera Cole of Mooreland, Okla.; three sons, Alvin of Hereford, David of Wilcox, Ariz., and Paul L. of San Antonio; a sister, Mrs. Horace Ballard of Orange; a brother, Orin, of Burnet, and 11 grandchildren.
