HEREFORD — Juan "Johnny" Rincon, 49, of Hereford died Thursday, May 10, 2012, in Amarillo.

Prayer services will be at 6:30 p.m. today in Hereford Heritage Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Celebration of life services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church, 500 N. Main St., with the Rev. Sam Rando, pastor of Genesis Church, officiating. Burial will follow in West Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Hereford
Heritage Funeral Home, 411 E. Sixth St., in Hereford.

Juan "Johnny" Rincon was born July 13, 1962, in Lubbock to Santos and Catarina Elizardo Rincon. He married the love of his life, Cathy De Los Santos Rincon, on March 31, 1981, in Hereford.

Johnny was a member of Genesis Church. He was a painting "Artist." Johnny loved his Lord, family and a host of many friends. He was the "best husband, father and grandfather," as Cathy, his wife, said. Johnny loved to ride his Harley, go dancing, have family barbecues and help others, even strangers.

He was a jokester. His favorite TV program was "Speed." As his family stated, Johnny could take a sad or bad situation and make people laugh and turn the situation into a "good thing." He loved life.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Juan Rincon Jr. of Hereford and Jacob Rincon and wife Monique of Amarillo; two daughters, Monica Covarrubia and husband Enrique of Amarillo and Amy Andrade and husband Jesse of Hereford; five brothers, Emilio and wife Dora and Santos and wife Martha, all of Hereford, David and wife Rosalinda of Dawn, Freddie and wife
Rosalinda of Wildorado and Richard and wife Eugenia of Canyon; nine sisters, Alicia Garcia and husband Juan of Sinton, Nicky Ramos and husband Oscar of Woodrow, Aunt Sylvia Mata and husband Jessie Romero of Borger, Delia Vasquez and husband Lucio of Lyford, Susan Nava and husband Antonio of Moses Lake, Wash., Mary Sanchez and husband Manuel of Welch, Diana Garcia and husband Raul of Rockwell and Yolanda Casias and husband Gabriel and Joann Morales, all of Hereford; and four grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Juan Rincon Memorial/Medical Fund, in care of Hereford Texas Federal Credit Union, 330 N. Schley Ave., Hereford, TX 79045.
