HEREFORD — Poncho Rodriguez, 90, of Hereford died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, in Amarillo.
Rosary will be said at 6:30 p.m. today in Parkside Chapel Funeral Home. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday in La Iglesia de San Jose with Monsignor Joseph Bixenman, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will follow in West Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Parkside Chapel Funeral Home of Hereford.
Mr. Rodriguez was born June 19, 1922, in Yorktown to Augustine and Refugia Cano Rodriguez. He was adopted by Olegario and Isabel Sorrano in 1977.
Survivors include four sisters, Anna Rodriguez of Hereford, Emma Rodriguez of Florida, Rosa Rodriguez of North Carolina and Linda Trigo of Dimmitt; and seven brothers, Juan Rodriguez, Edward Rodriguez and Raul Rodriguez, all of Borger, Mike Rodriguez of San Antonio and Samuel Rodriguez, Cruz Rodriguez and Arnulfo Rodriguez, all of Florida.
