HEREFORD — Andrez Serna Sr., 82, of Arlington, formerly of Hereford, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012, in Arlington.
Rosary was said at 6 p.m. Thursday in Rix Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday in La Iglesia de San Jose Catholic Church with Monsignor Joe Bixenman as celebrant. Burial followed in West Park Cemetery. Arrangements were by Rix Funeral Directors of Hereford.
Mr. Serna was born July 4, 1929, in Linares, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, to Andrez and Maria de la Luz Martinez Serna. He married Irene Munoz on May 7, 1963, in Dimmitt.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Lou Martinez, Linda Serna and Irene Zepeda, all of Arlington; two sons, Andy Serna of Arlington and David Serna of Amarillo; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
