SPUR (Special) - Graveside services for Helen Myrtle Varnell, 89, of Dickens will be at 1;30 p.m. today in Spur Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Genoa Goad, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will under direction of Campbell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Varnell died Friday, Oct. 22, 1993, in Residence Lodge Nursing Home in Mineral Wells.
She was born on March 9, 1904, in Roby. She married L.J. Varnell on May 24, 1924 in Dickens. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. A son Melvin preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband; a son, L.J. "Jake", Jr. of Mineral Wells; a sister Bill Crafton of Lubbock; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
