George Gary "Bubby" Gruber of Winnsboro, TX, 61, formerly of Dallas, died July 3, 2012 in Mt. Vernon, TX, from colon cancer. Gary was born May 15, 1951 in Bryan, TX to George H. and Alberta L. Gruber. A graduate of W.T. White High School, class of '69, Gary was a self-employed carpenter, and an avid fisherman. He was a member of Media Bass, Coppell Bass Club, C.A.S.T., Bass Champs, and Honey Hole Magazine as well as Boy Scout leader. Proceeded in death by his father and grandparents. He is survived by his wife Keri Cupp Gruber and daughters Chloe and Couri, first wife Robin Amos Gruber and sons George Kenneth and Kevin Louis, his mother Alberta Gruber, siblings Terry Dargan, Martha Rose (Doug), Paul Gruber (Jamie) and Jeanie Uhrick (Mike) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins. Sincere gratitude to Gary's fishing buddies, especially his dear friend Bob Gross, Gary and Keri's co-workers, family and friends for their generous and loving support. Graveside service Saturday, July 14, 6pm, Cypress Cemetery, Winnsboro, TX. From Mt. Vernon take SH 37 south about 8.5 mi. SW to CR 3230, go west about 1 mi. Memorial service Saturday, July 28, 2012, 10am, St. Monica Catholic Church, 9933 Midway Road, Dallas, TX 75220.
