Gregory Wayne Divin, 43, of Mount Vernon, died Wednesday, May 5, 2010, in Mount Pleasant.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 8, at Harvey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tom Campbell officiating. Interment will follow at Providence Cemetery under the direction of Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Robert Hoover, Zane LaCaze, Johnny Hughes, Brian Black, John McCroan, Tim Overby, Joe Harris and Richard Leed.
Mr. Divin was born on Oct. 1, 1966, in Dallas. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church. He graduated from South Garland High School in the Class of 1985.
He is survived by his parents, Jerry and Sandra Mathis Divin of Mount Vernon; three sons, Michael Divin of Palestine, Tony Divin and Joshua Divin, both of Mount Vernon; best friend, Susan Divin of Mount Vernon; two brothers, Jerry Dale Divin of Rowlett and Bobby Divin of The Colony; an uncle, Marvin Mathis of Mount Vernon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
