Hardy Augustus Pitts was the son of Hardy G. and Drucilla (Neal) Pitts. He married Laura E. Turk on Aug. 14, 1852. They were the parents of five daughters: Alestive, Laura, Mary, Rebecca Augusta and Drucilla.
