Information
The main entrance is on the left two tenths of a mile north of the US 287 frontage road. The sign over the entrance that now says Electra Memorial Park said Memorial Cemetery as recently as 2012, although references to Electra Memorial Park existed before that time. This is one of four cemeteries operated by the City of Electra that are all clustered together. Electra Memorial Park and Old Electra Memorial Cemetery are internally continuous, although the areas can be distinguished a power transmission line along the boundary, a change in distance between the front fenceline and the roadway, and the fact that only the median internal roadway of the Old Electra Memorial Cemetery continues into Electra Memorial Park. The internal connectivity, the lack of a readily observable sign for Old Electra Memorial Cemetery, and the fact that the sign for Electra Memorial said Memorial Cemetery until quite recently have led to considerable confusion between Electra Memorial Park and Old Electra Memorial Cemetery.
