Served in Captain Maxey's Company 1st Regiment, McBride's Brigade of Arkansas Infantry shown as a a private in Co. E, Shaler's Regiment of Arkansas Infantry for the period March 11-July 31, 1862.
Promoted to 3rd Corporal in Shaler's Regiment August 24, 1862
Entered the Confederate service in Marion County, Arkansas on June 18, 1862 for one year. His regiment was dismounted on July 29, 1862, and his name is shown on a roll dated at Camp Bragg, Arkansas July 31, 1862.

"DIED. Mr. C. M. Creecy died last Monday and was buried Tuesday at White's Chapel. He had been an invalid for three years. Leaves several children to mourn his departure. Rev. Bailey conducted the funeral services. Mr. Creecy was a member of the Methodist church and was 72 years old at the time of his death. We tender our sympathy to the bereaved."
