Pedro "Popo" Perez, 77, passed away Monday, August 5, 2013, at his residence in Mission. Born in Brownsville and formally of Victoria, Texas he had lived in Mission for the past ten years. He was a United States Air Force Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his sons; Jose, Jesus and Julian Perez; his parents Jose and Bartola Perez.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Antonia Perez; a daughter, Yolanda (Ovidio) Garza; four grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Jose Perez, Isabel Perez and Jeronimo Perez; a sister, Margarita De La Paz; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2013, from 5-9pm with a 7pm rosary, at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral mass will be at 10:00 am, Friday, August 9, 2013, at St. Mary of Magdalene Catholic Church in Abram. Burial will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission with full Military Honors.
Services are under the direction of Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission
