Travis Wayne Thompson, 63,of Rockwall, Texas, died Friday, October 29,2004, at his home. Mr. Thompson was born July 25,1941 in New Boston, Texas. He was a retired salesman, a Methodist and an Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Elizabeth Thompson. Survivors include his wife, Susan Thompson of Rockwall; two sons, Travis Thompson II of Fort Worth, Texas; and Daniel Thompson of Rockwall; his mother, Effie Thompson of New Boston; four brothers, Winfred Thompson of New Boston; Ed Thompson of Houston; Ralph Thompson of Little Rock; and Paul Mike Thompson of Tyler, Texas; one sister, Gail Talbot of New Boston; one grandson, John "Bubba" Attaway IV of Duncanville, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Bates-Rolf Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Barfield officiating. Burial will be in Red Bayou Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
