Died From Heart Failure
Last Thursday night Mr. Tom Goodwin found a man lying in front of Barnes & Higdon's store in the throes of death. Prompt assistance was given, but it was too late, as death had already claimed him. The man's name was C.P. Alexander, and he had been living for some months in the town of Burnet. He was an old railroad man, aged about 54 years. Justice Greenwood held an inquest and returned a verdict of death from heart failure. The sum of $8.35 was found on his person. He had only been in Lampasas a few days. The body was given Christian burial Saturday in the 'Stranger's Rest.'
