Obituary
George Edward Adams, 79, died Tuesday, April 3, 2001, in Borger. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Minton Memorial Chapel with Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor of Bible Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in "Evergreen Garden" at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mr. Adams was born in Amarillo and had been a resident of Borger since 1950. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a heavy equipment operator for Tri-State Construction.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Adams, on April 3, 1969.
Survivors include three daughters, Bertha May Egbert of Southerland, Ore., Faye Pich of Hemet, Calif. and Gracie Ross of Borger; one brother, Charlie Adams of Wilmer; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Crown of Texas Hospice, 1000 S. Jefferson, Amarillo, Texas 79101.
Casket bearers will be Jimmy Getman, Sr., Jimmy Getman, Jr., Charles Pich, Michael Ross, Kenny Ross and James Stampford.

BORGER - George Edward Adams, 79, died Tuesday, April 3, 2001.

Rosie May Adams, 53, of 217 W. 7th, died at 10 a.m. Saturday in Borger.
Services are pending with Alexander Funeral Directors. She was a native of Guthrie, Okla.
Survivors include her husband George; two sons, Ronnie Goodwin, of Irving and Robert Goodwin of Borger; four daughters, Mrs. Linda Winn of Mesquite, Mrs. Irma Dooley of Carrolton, Mrs. Shirley McClanahan, of Lawrence, Kan. and Mrs. Ilene Pruitt of Borger; two brothers, William Canfield, of Beaumont, and Sam Canfield, of Tenn; 43 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren
