DeKalb, Texas-- Benny Joe Woodard, 56, of DeKalb died Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at his home.
Mr. Woodard was born April 14, 1956, in Hobbs, N.M. He was a mobile equipment supervisor at Red River Army Depot, a member of First United Methodist Church, DeKalb and an Army
veteran. Ssurvivors include his wife, Jill Lewis Woodard of DeKalb; two sons, Austin
Woodard and Brady Woodard and his fiancee', Haley Price of DeKalb; his parents, Cecil and
Julia Woodard of Campbell, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Jackie and Paula Woodard of
DeKalb; one sister and brother-in-law, Lenny and Eric Dean of Shreveport, La.; and a number
of other relatives. Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at DeKalb High School Gymnasium with
the Revs. Doug Wintermute and James Boyd Strain officiating. Burial will be in Woodmen
Cemetery under direction of Bates Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1 p.m. To 3 p.m.
Sunday at the gymnasium
