Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Second Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Matt Prescott and Rev. Toby Castleberry. Interment will be held at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
Grady was born Wednesday, September 21, 1921 in Vernon, Texas. He was the son of the late Eugene C. Long and the late Eva Lola Brock Long. He married Patsy Viola Rawle on November 23, 1940 in Vernon they had been married for 73 years. He had lived all of his life in Vernon, he attended Oklaunion School. He retired from Waggoner Estate as custodian also worked as a trucker driver and he was a farmer. He was a member of Second Baptist Church.
He is survived by His Wife Patsy Long of the home; Two Sons, Larry Long & Wife Mary of Garland, TX., Michael Long & Wife Misty of Vernon, TX.; Daughter Janis Olinger & Husband Fred of Crowley, TX.;
Six grandchildren: Janet, Chris, Melanie, Linda, Heather and Stormy;
Eight great grandchildren; Two Brothers, Leodis Long of Borger, TX.,
G.W. Long of Borger, TX.; Two Sisters: Altha Rawle of Duncanville, TX.
Thelma Conner of Vernon, TX.
He is preceded in death by a daughter Linda Gayle Long in 1947, one grandson John Mark Long November 5, 2010, two sisters Opal Hibbens, Gracie Sanders, two brothers Glen Long, Freddie Long and a daughter-in-law Alice M. Long August 23, 2003.
Visitation will be Friday, November 29, 2013 at 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Sullivan Funeral Home.
Memorials can be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
