May 24, 1917 - March 13, 1998
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, with Leroy Mason and Jonny Millington officiating. Burial will be in Corinth Cemetery in Eastland County.
Ms. Matthews was born in Eastland County and graduated from Cisco High School. She attended Draughons Business College in Abilene. She worked for Shell Pipeline for five years, El Paso Co. for four years and Desert American Insurance. She retired after working for Preston Parker Independent Insurance for two years in Odessa and moved to Abilene in 1993 from Odessa. She was a member of American Business Women and Home Demonstration Club in Odessa, and was an honorary member of Delta Kappa Gamma. She was a member of Odessa First Baptist Church and the church's Keep in Touch Club.
