Born in Hays County. Texas on August 15, 1870, Died in Jefferson County Texas on July 23, 1939. The son of James G. Forsyth of Scotland, and Mary Elizabeth Forsyth of Tennessee. William first married Effie Townsend and they had three children (Wallace James Forsyth Sr., Mary Elizabeth Forsyth/Leigh, and Stafford Gordon (Jack) Forsyth. He later remarried with Mary Laurentina/Lewis and they shared their lives in Jefferson County, Texas
