ames Weldon Evans died Friday, June 19, 2015 at his home in Hooks, Texas. He was born November 15, 1930 in Hooks, Texas.

He retired from the United States Army, Red River Army Depot, American General Insurance, and a member of Myrtle Springs Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Bruce Evans and Daniel Craig Evans.

He is survived by his wife, Alzada Hudnall Evans, of Hooks, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth Ann and Glenn Jones of Texarkana, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, David Weldon and Karen Evans of Tyler, Texas; one daughter-in-law, Christine Evans, of Hooks, Texas; two special family members, Scott Hanes, of Hooks, Texas, and Sean Smiley of Hooks, Texas; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; Sarah and Shannon Peters of Ada, Oklahoma, (Rebekah and Annabelle), Christopher and Stephanie Evans of Terrell, Texas, (James, Lily and Blake), and Josh and Chelsey Evans of Hooks, Texas, (Braxton); and numerous other family and friends.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, June 22, 2015 at Myrtle Springs Baptist Church with Bro. J.R. Matthews and Bro. David Briggs officiating. Burial will follow at Myrtle Springs Cemetery.
