Obituary
Evangelina "Eva" Cortinaz Carrion, 54, was taken home to be with our Father on Monday, December 20, 2010. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Abilene Funeral Home Chapel of Hope, 3349 N. 12th Street with Major James Parrish officiating. Burial will follow in the Abilene Municipal Cemetery, directed by Abilene Funeral Home.
"Eva" was born February 4, 1956, to Paublo M. Cortinaz and Antonio Davila Cortinaz. She and Enrique Tonche Carrion were married April 10, 1976.
Survivors include her husband, Enrique Tonche Carrion of Abilene; three children, Lisa Carrion (Eddie Sotelo), Yvonne Olivo (Ramiro Olivo) and Ricky Carrion, all of Abilene; two brothers, Joe Cortinaz Sr. and Paul Cortinaz Jr. (Vickie Cortinaz); three sisters, Sandra Hewitt (Phillip Hewitt Sr.), Ester Cortinaz and Lucy Garcia Perales (Adolfo Perales).
"Eva" was preceded in death by a daughter, Angie Jolene Carrion; a sister, Maria "Mary" Dealba and a niece, Cindy Jan Cortinaz Diaz.
Pallbearers will be Andy Sotelo, Steven Cortinaz, Phillip Hewitt Jr., Saul Olivo, Paul Garcia and Joe Cortinaz Jr.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
