Abilene, Texas -- Robert Lomas, 51, passed away Friday, March 5, 2010, at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis Catholic Church with Father George Thirumangalam officiating. Burial will follow in the Masonic section of the Abilene Municipal Cemetery, directed by Abilene Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Abilene Funeral Home, 3349 N. 12th Street.
Mr. Lomas was born July 10, 1958, in Abilene to Herman and Flora Lomas. He was a resident of Abilene his entire life and a member of St. Francis Catholic Church.
Survivors include his father, Herman Lomas of Abilene; two brothers, Eddie Lomas and Larry Lomas, both of Abilene; two sisters, Liz Lomas and Teresa Lomas, both of Abilene. He was preceded in death by his mother, Flora Lomas and a sister, Debra Torres.
Pallbearers will be Jason Portillo, Matthew Portillo, Eddie Lomas, Jr., Nick Torres, Marcus Torres and Michael Gonzales.
