Death of Mrs. Otto Steffens
Well-known Woman of Abilene Passes to Other World
Abilene, Tex., Jan. 15 – After an illness of several weeks Mrs. Otto W. Steffens is dead, the end coming the night of Jan. 9. The end was peaceful. Sympathy was expressed for her son, Louis Steffens, whose arrival from Dallas was not until the following morning. While Mrs. Steffens had been ill for some time, it had not been expected that her death would occur so soon, although many believed that the end was not many weeks hence. The funeral was attended by a large concourse of people, hundreds having known this estimable lady and her many quiet deeds of benevolence in company with her husband, who died some months ago.
