Obituary
Son of the late Orb and Lillie Atkinson Barber, he was the widower of Emma Jane McDaniel Barber (married in 1952). Additionally, he was preceded in death by sons, Clifton Eric Barber, Clifford Earl Barber and Paul Wayne Barber; brother, Ray Barber; sisters, Marie Dean, Lucille Hill, Ruth Fountain and Laverne Barber. He was survived by his daughter, Patricia Gayle Wyatt (Jeff); son, Charles Barber (Darlene) and James Barber; brothers, Roy Barber, O'Neal Barber (Norma) and Bo Barber; nine grandchildren; and an extended family of great-grandchildren and other relatives. He was a carpenter by trade. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. His funeral was held on August 13, 2014, with The Rev. Ronnie Mutina officiating.
