Funeral services for Mr. Julius Floyd "Jack" Bishop, 88, of Carthage, Texas will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at the Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rodger Cole and Rev. Joe Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. The family visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday night at the funeral home. Mr. Bishop died October 13, 2012 at his home in Carthage, Texas. Mr. Julius Floyd "Jack" Bishop was born November 30, 1923 in Castor, Bienville Parish, Louisiana. He was one of eight children born to the marriage of Alvin Blanchard and Ruth Lawson Bishop. He was raised and schooled in rural Castor, Louisiana. He served his country through the U. S. Army during WWII and served in the Naval Reserve. Jack married Juanita Capps October 19, 1962 and they celebrated 50 years together. He was a longtime member of the Antioch Baptist Church, loved hunting, fishing, dominoes and spending time with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Teresa Darlene Bishop, Joey Bishop, sisters, Treonne Baker, Gerrye Hamoaka, Baby Ruth Hadwin, brothers, Ray Bishop, Kenneth Bishop, Buddy Bishop. Mr. Bishop is survived by his loving wife, Juanita Capps Bishop, daughters, Sheila Bishop Bellamy and husband Larry, April LaChae Bishop Cheshire and Brian Reeves, Sherry McNeely and family, Drenda Bardwell and family, grandchildren, Len Ray and wife Jaime, Adam Cheshire and wife Karen, Katie Bellamy Ball and husband Josh, Amanda Bellamy Weathington and husband Reno, Emily Bellamy, Sarah Bellamy Gordon and husband Donnie, great grandchildren, Allan, Matt, Branton, Chelsea, Dylan, Alyssa, Aidan, Kayleigh Kayden, Alivia, Brylee, Maelyn, Collin, great great grandchild, Gracie Mae, sister, Betty Sue McCain and husband Harry, sister-in-laws, Deryl Bishop, Margie Bishop, brother-in-law, Herb Hamoaka Numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends, special grandchildren, Lindsey Jones and Whitten Thompson. The family suggests donations to the Antioch Baptist Church
or Antioch Cemetery Association.
