Danny Ray Buffington, age 80, of Texarkana, Texas, died Sunday, November 19, 2017 in a local hospital. He was born July 16, 1937 in Texarkana, Texas.
He was a lifetime resident of Texarkana. He was retired from the United States Navy, the United States Postal Service, and formerly employed with the Hooks Independent School District. He was a Christian and a member of the National Rifle Association.
He is survived by his wife of sixty years: Barbara Buffington of Texarkana, Texas; two sons and one daughter-in-law: Ron and Kim Buffington of Texarkana, Texas; Jerry Buffington of Texarkana, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law: Donna and Gregory Amussen of Texarkana, Texas; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a number of friends and other relatives.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 P. M. Friday at Chapelwood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Patrick Evans officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
