Santiago Brito Was The First Hispanic Elected As
Cameron County Sheriff (1884) And Chief Of Police (1890).
He Also Served A Special Texas Ranger, He Solved The Great
Rio Grande Railroad Robbery Of 1891 And Was Assassinated The
Following Year His Murder Was Never Solved.

Santiago Brito Fue El Primer Hispanic Electo Como Sheriff Del Condado De Cameron (1884) Y Jefe Se Policia (1890). Tambien Fue Tezas Ranger Y Pudo Resolver El Gran Robo Del Ferrocarril En 1891. Fue Asesinado Un Ano Despues Y Su Asesinato Nunca Fue
Resuelto.
