Steven was the son of Alonzo Leon Pittman and Pearlie Brewer. Siblings were Virginia Lee, Dorothy Ann, Wesley Alonzo, Jimmy Dale, Shirley Ruth, and Gary Joe Pittman.

Childress – Funeral services for Childress native Steven Randall Pittman, 33, of Colorado Springs, Colo., will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in Newberry Chapel with David McCain, pastor of the Fairview Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Kirkland Cemetery under the direction of Newberry Funeral Home. Mr. Pittman died Friday in Colorado Springs. Born November 16, 1946, in Childress, he graduated from Childress High School and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Jack Crain of Childress; three brothers, Wesley Pittman of Moore, Okla., Jimmy Dale Pittman of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Gary Pittman, address unknown; three sisters; Mrs. Virginia McEvers of Shafter, Calif., Mrs. Dorothy Lovelady of Farwell, Texas, and Mrs. Shirley Hammer of Eugene, Ore. Pallbearers will be Danny Eason, Mike Eason, Jim Eason, Larry McCain, John Steed and Bruce Evans. Published March 4, 1980
