Peggy Teston Flanery, of New Boston, Texas, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at a De Kalb, Texas care facility at 81 years. Peggy was born January 13, 1936, in Picayune, Mississippi to Harvey Teston and Minnie Lee Elizabeth East Teston.

She was a retired Personnel Technician for Red River Army Depot and a member of Austin Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lester Flanery in 2009; two sisters, Mary "Gic" Claxton and Bonnie Capson; and four brothers, LaVaughn Teston, Aubrey Teston, LV Teston and Ed Teston.

She is survived by a son, Glenn Cox of Simms, Texas; a brother and sister-in-law, Cecil and Tina Teston of Cedar Creek, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Regina Flanery of Texarkana, Texas; four stepchildren, Stanley Flanery, John Flanery, Leslie Daniels and Debbie Brown; a Friend and Sister in Christ, Joy Eddins of De Kalb, Texas; 9 grandchildren, Clay Cox, Cody Peek, Nicole Brewer, Taylor Flanery, Matt Flanery, Travis Flanery, Kyndel Foreman, Colby Brown and Shelby Daniels; 11 great grandchildren; and numerous other other relatives and friends.

Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas with Perry D. May and Clay Cox officiating. Interment to follow at Ringwood Cemetery in New Boston, Texas.
