John Charles
7 July 1861 - 11 July 1942
Parents: Charles C & Nancy Cockerill (possibly Cockerell)
Spouse: Emily Tennessee Jones
Note: John and Emily purchased land near Cundiff in 1900. They built their home near Cottonwood Creek. However, a neighbor suggested that living so close to the creek was why the children stayed sick all the time, so in 1907 John and the boys dismantled the house, numbering each log, and rebuilt it at the top of the hill where John and Emily lived the rest of their lives.
