BORGER — Gale Edward Alexander, 88, of Borger died Saturday, March 31, 2012.

Memorial services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church in Borger. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mr. Alexander was born July 12, 1923, in Henryetta, Okla. He was a Borger resident for 86 years. He married Marilyn Ann Ralston, who preceded him in death in 2010. He was an oil and gas producer for many years, a Borger Independent School District school board member and a member of First United Methodist Church of Borger. He was a graduate of Phillips High School and New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, N.M. He served in World War II in the Army 371st Engineers from 1943 to 1946.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Doyle and Keith Alexander.

Survivors include a brother, Stan Alexander of Oklahoma City; a sister, Wanda Jean Alexander of Houston; three sons, Gary and Pam Alexander of Borger, Curt and Vickie Alexander of Canyon and Brian and Sarah Alexander of Victoria; grandchildren, Stacie and Todd Welchlen, Ben Alexander, Justin Alexander, Craig and Sarah Alexander, Kelli Alexander, Abby and Justin Javernick and
Elizabeth and Casey Reed; and great-
grandchildren, Reed, Marlee, Allie, Hayden, Lushon and Mayson.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, P.O. Box 1890, Amarillo, TX 79174.

Marilyn Ann Alexander, 83, of Borger, passed away, Monday, July 12, 2010.

Marilyn Ralston was born to Edward Anthony Ralston and Lillian Jewell (Sharp) Ralston on May 21, 1927 in Okmulgee, Ok. Marilyn Ralston married Gale Alexander at Phillips United Methodist Church in Phillips, Tx on October 25, 1947.

Gale and Marilyn have made Borger their home for the past 75 years.

Marilyn was active in the Ladies Golf Association serving as President 1 year, bridge club, Barber Shop Belles and a board member at the Borger Country Club. Marilyn was an active member of First United Methodist Church, including singing in the church choir.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother Edward Ralston.

Survivors include her husband Gale of the home, sons, Gary Alexander and wife Pam, Curt Alexander and wife Vickie, all of Borger; and Brian Alexander and wife Sarah of Victoria, seven grandchildren, Stacie Welchlen, Benjamin Alexander, Justin Alexander, Craig Alexander, Kelli Alexander, Abigail Javernick and Elizabeth Alexander; plus five great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2010, at the First United Methodist Church in Borger with Rev. Archie Echols officiating. Private interment services were held earlier.

Mrs. Alexander will lie in state in Borger on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday, July 15, 2010 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Pat Harvey, Jack Worsham, Jack Pirtle and Bill Seago.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch P O Box 1890, Amarillo, Tx. 79174.
