DARLING SISTER

CARRIE SPOONER
BORN JULY 27, 1867
DIED NOV. 5, 1883

(FROM FIND A GRAVE: Carrie Spooner was one of five girls born to Edwin Anson (1820-1875) and Virginia (1834-1873) (Smith) Spooner. After the death of her parents, she and her only surviving sister Ida Beverly Spooner, lived with their aunt, Mary Agnes (Smith) and her husband Carl Timmerman in San Antonio, Texas. After the death of Carl Timmerman in 1877, Mary Agnes married George W. Henrie, June, 5 1878 in Houston, Texas. The next day, while returning to his home in Denison, Texas, the family was injured when their train wrecked just outside of McKinney, TX. All survived, but Carrie was seriously injured. Perhaps this accident contributed to her early death.)
