Alberta Louise Smith, 74, of Houston died Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016, in a Houston hospital. Ms. Smith was born Dec. 7, 1941*, in New Boston.
Survivors include five sons, Cedrick Jones, Reginald Jones, Gregory Jones, Craig Jones and Tarrus Slater; four daughters, Sharon Webster, Victoria Jones, Felicia Jones and Natasha Slater; two brothers, Booker Jones Jr. and Kevin Jones; three sisters, Teresa Anderson, Etta Jones and Lois Green; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Arkadelphia Baptist Church with Lonnie Waller Jr. officiating.
Burial will be in Arkadelphia Church Cemetery under direction of Coleman-Atlanta Funeral home.
