Larry "Buddy" Harrod, age 74, of Linden, Texas, went to be with the Lord Sunday, December 13, 2015, in a Dallas, Texas hospital.
Larry was born August 15, 1941, in Linden, Texas, to Robert and Louise Harrod. He was retired from Attwood Oceanic, was a member of Life Tabernacle Apostolic Church and loved hunting, fishing and four wheeler riding. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Harold Harrod, Edsel Harrod, O.J. Harrod; three sisters, Bobbie Hill, Tinnie Jo Stephens and Jonoyce Baker.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian Harrod of Linden, Texas; three daughters, Carlena Mixon and husband Edward of Linden, Texas, Anita Harrod of Linden, Texas, Leona Harrison and husband Steven of Houston, Texas; a sister, Annette Wilder of Linden, Texas; six grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, December 16, 2015, at the New Colony Baptist Church under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service with Pastor Tony Lee and Cole Dwyer officiating.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 15, 2015 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Hanner Funeral Service
