Atlanta, Texas—The Rev. Alvester Hardiman Jr., 65, of Redwater, Texas, died Saturday, May 18, 2013, at his home.
Mr. Hardiman was born Nov. 21, 1947, in Redwater. He was pastor at Hopewell CME Church and a member of East Texas Regional Annual Conference.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Williams Hardiman of Redwater; one son, Aaron McKinney of Carmen, N.C.; three daughters, Allison Hardiman of Dallas, Pamela Steward of Mesquite, Texas and Tracie
Williams of Dallas; his mother, Trudell Hardiman of Redwater; two brothers, Levester Hardiman Sr. of Redwater and George Hardiman of Texarkana; one sister, Lee P. Hardiman King of Marietta, Texas; and nine grandchildren.
Closed casket services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Hopewell CME Church, Texarkana, Texas, with the Rev. Levester Hardiman officiating.
Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under direction of Community Mortuary. Visitation will be noon to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home and 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
