Carroll Paulk, of Midland, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, March 9, 2008.

He was born September 9, 1950 to Charlie Paulk and Barbara (Miller) Paulk in Rotan, Texas. After graduating from Lamesa High School in 1970, he joined the U.S. Army. Carroll served his country in Germany and was stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma and Fort Riley, Kansas. He married his high school sweetheart, Christy Taylor, in Lamesa, Texas in 1972. Carroll worked for Haliburton in Hobbs, New Mexico for 18 years as an Engineer. He attended respiratory therapy school at Midland College and began working for the Midland Postal Service in 1995. Carroll enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his beautiful family whom he loved dearly. He was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Paulk; and mother-in-law, Wanda Taylor

Carroll is survived by his loving wife of thirty six years, Christy; sons, Kyle Paulk; Bradley Paulk and wife Tonya all of Midland, Texas; brother, Larry Paulk and wife Barbara of Lubbock, Texas; sisters, Becky Stewart and husband Bruce of Snyder, Texas; Beverly Porter and husband Tom Abell of Snyder, Texas; father-in-law, Rabbit Taylor and wife Bonnie of Lamesa, Texas; brother-in-law, Wayne Taylor and wife Robin of Brownfield, Texas; three beautiful granddaughters, Kayleigh, Breeanna and Paizlee; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Ellis Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 between the hours of 6:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. Funeral Services have been scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Greenwood Baptist Church with Dr. Ronnie Marley and Reverend Wayman Swopes officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bill Paulk, David Matthews, Mike Pulse, Eric Matthews, James McDonnell and Curtis Skelton. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Grammer and Jerry Beaty.

Memorials can be made to the American Diabetes Association, 10 Desta Drive, Suite 220-E, Midland, Texas 79705, Greenwood Baptist Church or the charity of one's choice.
