Gerald Gasch of Midland died Sunday Oct. 10. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday Oct. 13 at Greenwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayman Swopes officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.
He was born Aug. 2, 1949 to Oble Gasch and Alma Gasch in Poteet where he was raised and educated, graduating high school in 1967. He married Sandra Porter in 1971. They had lived in Greenwood since 1988. He had worked for Enserch Exploration and did consulting work in the oil field industry.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Jeff Gasch of Seminole, Matt Gasch and Derek Gasch of Midland; a daughter, Karen Escamilla of Lubbock; brothers, Charles Gasch of Pearsall and Ronnie Gasch of Bryan; sisters, Lynda Gasch of Albany, Ill., Brenda Bieghley of Ranger; and three grandchildren.
