Thomas Maze SORRELS (VETERAN CSA)

Thomas Maze served during the Civil
War. The last regiment he served in
was in Co. E, Shaler's Regiment. He
was captured Dec. 1862. He served
time in Graitot Prison and then was
sent to City Point, Va. in a prisoner
exchange.It was told to Mary that on
the trip home, Thomas contracted the
measles and he died and was buried by
the roadside.

Born in Burke County, North Carolina and died
in Arlington, Tarrant County, Texas
Daughter of John and Martha Wise Lonon.
She married Thomas Maze Sorrels 22 Jan 1846
in North Carolina
They had 10 known children.
