Mary Alice loved teaching. She taught for six years in Cundiff, two years at Union Point, and two years at Lone Oak in Young County. Alice taught First and Second grade for thirty-one years at Jacksboro. She retired in 1971. She taught for a total of forty-one years!
Alice often said that she loved teaching more than anything else. She once quipped that although she had never married, she had more children than anyone else.
