*PRASCH OVERVIEW

Prasch Cemetery
Comal County,
Texas

This is an old small family cemetery, containing the graves of 3 Prasch children who died of diphtheria, located along Cibolo Creek south of Bulverde but in Comal County. Their parents purchased a farm in this area from S. V. Pfeuffer. After they moved there, the children developed diphtheria.

The cemetery is bounded by a rock wall (approximately 22' x 22') with an opening on the east side, with a metal and wire gate in the gap. The rock wall is falling in a few places. Three gravestone bases were seen in a jumbled condition, with broken-off gravestones. Some gravestone fragments were seen placed atop the west wall. Animal burrows have greatly disturbed the soil, and some brush and weeds were inside the walls.
