This is an old small family cemetery, located on private property north of Hwy-46, west of the road to Guadalupe River State Park (Park Road 31) and the community formerly known as Honey Creek, and also just west of a private ranch road known as Dierks Road. The Comal County Genealogy Society book "Lest We Forget" published in 1989 lists this cemetery as the "Rust Cemetery" on page 11, with 7 marked graves and 3 unmarked children's graves. The same book lists three other Rust cemeteries in the county (which leads to confusion), but these others are all in the Spring Branch/Smithson Valley area. To help avoid confusion, this cemetery is also sometimes referred to as the "Louis Rust Cemetery" since it contains the graves of Ludwig "Louis" Rust, his wife and a few of his descendants. This cemetery is marked on the county map series published by the Texas Dept. Of Transportation, labeled as "Rust".
