Funeral services for Howard C. Jones, age 60, of Daingerfield, were Wednesday October 3, 2012 at Concord Missionary Baptist Church in Omaha, Texas, with interment to follow in Concord Cemetery. Howard was born February 8, 1952, in Woodville, Texas, to Howard Curtis and Arenca Deverne Robbins Jones. He was raised in a very large family and from an early age took on responsibilities for helping take care of them. He learned to meet every challenge with hard work and dedication. He learned to accomplish any task that was set before him. Howard retired from Lone Star Steel after many years and then went on to work in the insurance industry. He was very successful because he never met a stranger and was always caring and compassionate. Howard was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Melvin Jones and Larry Jones; and his uncles, Jr. and Husky. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his spouse, Wendy Parker, daughters, Kristi Jones Jester and her husband Emanuel, and Kacey Jones Downing and her husband, Patrick; grandchildren Emily Morgan Seifried and Luke Patrick Downing; life long friend, Mike Jones and his wife Judy; and many siblings cousins, family and friends.
