Sidney Charles Covington, 78, a loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away Friday, Dec. 26, 2014. Graveside service: in New Hope Cemetery in Valley View. Charles was born in Gainesville and moved to White Settlement in 1946. He worked in law enforcement in both White Settlement and Azle. Charles served in the Army Reserve and the 49th Armored Division of the National Guard. Charles was preceded in death by his son, Billy Charles Covington; parents, Hubert and Faye Covington; and brother, Jimmy Covington. Survivors: Wife, Reba J. Covington; children, Cody Lee and Kenneth Wayne Covington, Tracye MicKunas and Shirlyn Grubbs; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Wanda Clark, Glenda Leggett and Lynn White; and numerous nieces and nephews.
