VALLEY VIEW — Frances LaRue Jacobs of Valley View passed away at her residence Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, at the age of 82.
Frances was the daughter of Olin Leon Brooks and Jannie Frances Glenn. She was married to Jimmie Lee Jacobs who preceded her in death. Frances worked in sales and later as a medication aide in the health care profession.
Visitation will be held today, Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, beginning at 10 a.m. at Slay Memorial Funeral Center Chapel in Aubrey and will be followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. in the Slay Memorial Chapel with Captain Timothy Gresham, United States Army, officiating.
Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery at Burns City, Cooke County, Texas.
Mrs. Jacobs is survived by two daughters, Mary F. Reno and husband Blanchard and Becky Vega and husband Jose; two sons, Olin L. Gary and wife Pamela and Randy Gary and wife Sherry. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Pat Brooks; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and cousins.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, C. L. Brooks; and one sister, Rebecca Charlene Brooks.
